102 Not Out: Here's everything we know about Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor starrer

The teaser of Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor starrer 102 Not Out released on Friday, and it gave fans a glimpse of the unique bond shared by a father and son.

In the minute-long teaser of 102 Not Out, we see Bachchan as a father who is full of life, but Kapoor prefers to act his age."Apne bete ko vridh ashram bhejne waala main pehla baap banuga," Big B tells Kapoor in the teaser.

Here's everything we know about the film.

Plot:

The film is based on a Gujarati play of the same name. The story revolves around a 102-year-old, played by Bachchan, trying to break the oldest person record in the world. Kapoor essays the role of Bachchan's 75-year-old son.

Unusual love story:

The film is directed by Umesh Shukla, who said the film will explore the love between a parent and child.

"The idea of adapting it into a Hindi feature came from the fact that the relationship between a parent and a child is universal and the one where love supersedes everything else, including age! Amitabh Sir and Rishi Sir together are a dream cast for anyone," Shukla said, according to Variety.

Bachchan and Kapoor:

102 Not Out marks the on-screen reunion of Bachchan and Kapoor after 27 long years. The duo have shared screen space in Kabhie Kabhie (1976), Amar Akbar Anthony (1977), Naseeb (1981), Coolie (1983), and Ajooba (1991).

It will be interesting to see the pair together as Kapoor, in his book Khullam Khulla, had revealed that the duo shared a cold relationship in the past.

"I must admit that in those days there was an unspoken undercurrent of tension between Amitabh Bachchan and me," he wrote. "We never sat down to sort it out and luckily the strain evaporated on its own. It was only after we did Amar Akbar Anthony that the two of us got friendly with each other."

Release:

The film will release on May 4. The film also stars Paresh Rawal and Jimit Trivedi.
