5. Akshay Kumar - collecting posters

Akshay Kumar has a secret hobby of collecting posters of old Bollywood movies and actors. According to sources "Akshay has been collecting these posters for years and has built himself a sizeable collection". His poster collection is been seen in the film Action Replay. The director of that film Vipul Shah mentioned that he wanted a Bollywood themed café where he wanted to use film posters and he mentioned “I had absolutely no clue that Akshay had such a collection. It was a pleasant surprise”.

From desert spectacle to domestic dread

For decades, The Mummy has been tied to adventure, romance and spectacle, most famously in The Mummy (1999). That version thrived on sweeping desert landscapes, archaeological intrigue and a sense of escapism.

Lee Cronin takes a sharply different route. His reworking strips away the sense of adventure and relocates the horror into the home. The story still begins in Egypt, anchored by an ancient sarcophagus, but quickly shifts to the United States, where the real tension unfolds inside a family house.
