5 same faces for KJo’s next movie Takht

Kareena Kapoor Khan

Karan Johar is known to be working with the same people, which he also admitted during an interview as he ‘likes to work with the same people’. Kareena’s sixth movie was with Karan, starring in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, where she played the role of Poja. Undoubtedly it was her best movie at that time along with five other actors as she received second Filmfare nomination for the role.  Takht will be her second movie with Karan Johar after seventeen years as well as Kareena’s second movie after she gave birth to son Taimur.


Anil Kapoor

It may sound surprising but this is Anil Kapoor’s first movie with Karan Johar. Anil Kapoor has been in this industry since 1971 but still never managed to do a film with Karan Johar. There were some news about Anil to be in Karan’s movie Kalank but Sanjay Dutt took his role opposite Madhuri Dixit.

Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt started her career with Karan Johar’s Student of The Year in 2012 along with Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. Anupama Chopra described her role ‘Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham but without the killer attitude’. Since then she’s been giving back to back movies and she established herself in Bollywood with movies like Highway, 2 States, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Takht will be Alia’s ninth movie with Karan Johar.

Ranveer Singh

Takht will Ranveer Singh’s second movie with Karan Johar. Currently he’s shooting for Simba which is produced by Karan Johar and directed by Rohit Shetty. Even though Ranveer never did any movies with Karan but they’re always seen partying together as there’s pictures of them all over social media.

Janhvi Kapoor

Janhvi Kapoor is still the new face in Bollywood. She just debuted with her first movie Dhadak, which was produced by Karan Johar. Takht will be her second movie again with Karan Johar.
