8 years of Jab Tak Hai Jaan: Dialogues from the movie that touched the right chords of our hearts

Murtuza Iqbal

Jab Tak Hai Jaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Anushka Sharma was surely a special film. It was the last directorial of Yash Chopra and the filmmaker passed away just a few days before the release of the movie.

The film is, of course, remembered for a lot of reasons; for its music, performances of the actors and more. One of the best elements of the film was the dialogues.

So, today, as the movie completes eight years of its release, let’s look at the list of dialogues from the film that touched the right chords of our hearts…

Teri aankhon ki namkeen mastiyan, Teri hansi ki beparwaah gustakhiyaan, Teri zulfon ki leharaati angdaiyaan, Nahi bhoolunga main, Jab tak hai jaan, jab tak hai jaan… (Poem)

(Poem)

Yadhaash bhi kitni ajeeb cheez hoti hai, kis cheez ko poori zindagi bhoolne ki koshish karo, woh bhoolti nahi, kabhi ek choti si cheez yaad karne ki koshish karo, toh yaad nahi aati…

Har ishq ka ek waqt hota hai, woh hamara waqt nahi tha, par iska yeh matlab nahi ki woh ishq nahi tha…

Tu saath hokar bhi saath nahi hoti, ab toh rahat mein bhi rahat nahi hoti…

Har din uski zindagi ki dua maang leti hoon, aur har din khud thodi marr leti hoon…

Koi dua mat maangna, sirf pyar karna mujhe…
