Aamir Khan can’t wait to see Priyanka Chopra starrer The Sky Is Pink

Priyanka Chopra is all set to make her Bollywood comeback with the film The Sky Is Pink. The trailer of the movie was released a few days ago, and it received a great response. Now, Aamir Khan has seen the trailer and he has loved it. The actor cannot wait to see the film.

He took to Twitter to praise the trailer of the Shonali Bose’s directorial. Aamir tweeted, “I really liked this trailer. Cant wait to see the movie. Looks like Shonali has made another fantastic film. I am sure Priyanka, Farhan and Zaira's performances in the film will wow us. Sid, wishing you the best for your first independent film! Love. a.”


Aamir has not yet worked with Priyanka, but he has worked with Farhan Akhtar (he directed Dil Chahta Hai) and Zaira Wasim (Dangal, Secret Superstar) earlier.

Talking about The Sky Is Pink, the film was recently premiered at Toronto International Film Festival and received a stand ovation there. While talking to AFP, Priyanka stated, "People get surprised when they see The Sky is Pink and they're like, 'this is not a Bollywood movie.' Bollywood is not a genre! It really is my quest to educate people in that."

The Sky Is Pink is slated to release on 11th Oct 2019. The movie will mark PeeCee’s comeback to Bollywood after a gap of three years. Also, this movie might be the last film of Zaira Wasim as she has decided to quit Bollywood.

The movie is based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary a motivational speaker who suffered from pulmonary fibrosis and unfortunately passed away in 2015. While Zaira will be seen as Aisha in the movie, Priyanka and Farhan will play the characters of her parents Aditi Chaudhary and Niren Chaudhary respectively. Actor Rohit Saraf will be playing the role of Aisha’s brother, Ishaan Chaudhary.
