Aamir Khan to join forces with RRR star Jr NTR and KGF director Prashanth Neel for his next pan-India project

According to a report, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan may next be seen in a pan-India film, to be helmed by KGF: Chapter 1 (2018) and KGF: Chapter 2 (2022) director Prashanth Neel. The untitled film already has RRR (2022) star Jr NTR in the lead role.

A newswire reports that Neel is planning to cast Aamir Khan in a pivotal role in his upcoming directorial venture. And if the superstar goes on to sign the project on the dotted line, it will mark their maiden collaboration.

The filmmaker is planning to rope in Khan in a role opposite Jr NTR. The project is likely to get off the ground next year as the filmmaker is currently busy with the post-production of his much-anticipated directorial Salaar, starring Prabhas and Shruti Haasan in lead roles. Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran also plays a crucial part in the film.

A source close to the newswire further revealed that Neel and Jr NTR will announce the joint venture after the completion of the Salaar in the next few months.

When a publication recently asked Neel about his next film Jr NTR, the filmmaker said, “I am super excited about the film. Please don’t ask me about the genre of that movie because it is far off at the moment”.

Talking about his bond with Jr NTR, he said, “I have been a fan of NTR for the last 15 to 20 years. We have met 10 to 15 times just casually before we even started the script work. I wanted to understand him a little more and that’s my process with all my actors.”

Aamir Khan was last seen in his home production Laal Singh Chaddha (2022), which failed to perform well at the box office. The actor has not announced his next project as yet.
