Actresses meet Rakesh Roshan to be Hrithik Roshan’s heroine in Krrish 4?

The makers of sci-fi movie series Krrish (2006), which began with the release of Koi...Mil Gaya in 2003, is gearing up to produce the next instalment, titled Krrish 4. The project was announced last year by director-producer Rakesh Roshan.

However, since Rakesh Roshan was unable to lock the final draft on time, the movie could not mount the shooting floor as per schedule. But if sources are to be believed, Senior Roshan is about to finish the script soon and Krrish 4 will start rolling in 2019.

While Hrithik Roshan is set to return to play the iconic character of Krrish in the fourth instalment, the makers are yet to finalize the female lead opposite the superstar. Latest reports say that many actresses have started dropping by Rakesh Roshan’s office in Mumbai, expecting to bag the lead heroine role opposite Hrithik.

“There are a lot of actresses who are meeting Rakeshji. It all depends on whether they suit the film and the dates match whenever the script is ready and the pre-production done, for them to be cast in the film. Rakeshji is very clear about the kind of people he would like to cast in the film, but he does not mind meeting up with actors who call on him,” a source close to the project divulged.

We also hear that Priyanka Chopra, who played the female lead in the last two instalments of the series, and Katrina Kaif, who has worked with Hrithik on Bang Bang (2014), are front-runners in the race.

We are waiting to see who finally clenches the role.

You arrive in Kochi, and it feels like the sea air makes everything slightly sharper; faces in the city look purposeful, a film poster peels at the corner of a wall. In a city that has cradled a thriving film industry for decades, a single crime on the night of 17 February 2017 ruptured the ordinary: an abduction, a recorded sexual assault and a survivor who reported it the next day. What happened next is every woman’s unspoken nightmare, weaponised into brutal reality. It was a public unpeeling of an industry’s power structures, a slow-motion fight over evidence and testimony, and a national debate about how institutions protect (or fail) women.

For over eight years, her fight for justice became a mirror held up to an entire industry and a society. It was a journey from the dark confines of that car to the glaring lights of a courtroom, from being a silenced victim to becoming a defiant survivor whose voice sparked a revolution. This is not just the story of a crime. It is the story of what happens when one woman says, "Enough," and the tremors that follow.
