The high-speed, 750-rpm drum is rated at a 6.5kg capacity, while the body itself is sturdy and rust-proof for longevity. This is a compact, portable, and focused device that gets the cleaning done reliably and with minimal fuss.

At Rs 21,990, the TCL TWF65-P6S is the machine to get if you want an affordable washing machine, but one that also offers the best possible laundry experience. This front-loader has a 6.5kg drum, 16 wash programs, a digital inverter motor, a 2-year device warranty + 10-year motor warranty, and of course a BEE 5-star rating. Its also the only washing machine in this line-up to have a built-in heater and steam wash option, both of which are great for maximising cleaning efficiency.
If these dont really catch your fancy, there are also plenty of affordable feature-rich LG washing machines you can consider buying as well.
Investing in a good washing machine is a quality-of-life upgrade where the payoff is immediate and very apparent. Even something as simple as a semi-automatic washer can vastly simplify your laundry routine while consuming minimal power and water, and occupying very little space. While washing machine price is a significant factor to consider, all the more important are also the features to consider in them, to maximise your returns in the long run.

Man pleads not guilty to murder of BBC presenter's family
A 26-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to charges of murdering the wife and two daughters of BBC sports commentator John Hunt in a crossbow and knife attack.
Kyle Clifford, who also faces charges of rape, appeared via video link at Cambridge Crown Court on Thursday.
Clifford, arrested in July after a manhunt, is charged with three counts of murder, one count each of rape and false imprisonment, and two counts of possessing offensive weapons – a 10-inch knife and a crossbow.
During the hearing, Clifford denied all the charges except for the rape charge, which was added to the indictment at the session.
He is expected to enter a plea for that charge at a later date.
The victims were Carol Hunt, 61, wife of horseracing commentator John Hunt, and their daughters Louise, 25, and Hannah, 28.
An earlier hearing revealed that Louise had been found tied up and that both she and her sister had been shot with a crossbow, while their mother had been stabbed with a knife.
The fatal attack occurred at the family’s home in Bushey, a commuter town near Watford, northwest of London.
