After visiting Mecca to perform Umrah, Shah Rukh Khan visits Vaishno Devi temple in Jammu

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan offered prayers at the shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi in Katra on Sunday night.

Under the protection of paramilitary and J&K police personnel, Khan was accompanied by several friends who visited the shrine and offered prayers.

The officials said that the superstar reached Jammu yesterday and then proceeded to Katra Shrine where he offered prayers. Thereafter, he returned back to Jammu.

A number of videos of Khan from Vaishno Devi Temple in Jammu have emerged on social media. One video that has now gone viral is a CCTV camera footage of the superstar keeping low-key as he visited the temple. Another video was of the actor heading towards his car, probably after darshan.

Before visiting Vaishno Devi temple, Khan visited Mecca in November. The superstar was shooting for his much-anticipated film Dunki in Saudi Arabia. Soon after wrapping up the film, he visited Mecca where he was seen performing Umrah, which can be undertaken at any time of the year, unlike Hajj which is an annual pilgrimage performed around Eid-Al-Adha.

Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in his home production Zero (2018), directed by Aanand L Rai. Also starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, the film did not do well at the box office. The superstar will next be seen in Pathaan, which is scheduled to enter cinemas on January 25, 2023. It will be followed by Jawan on June 2, 2023. The superstar will end 2023 with the release of Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, which is due to find its way into theatres on December 22 next year.

Meanwhile, the makers of Pathaan launched the first song of the film today December 12. The peppy number featuring Khan and Deepika Padukone has garnered millions of views within hours of landing on YouTube. It is currently trending on YouTube.
