Ajay Devgn reacts to rumours of teaming up with Bhansali

After delivering two massive hits in 2019 – Total Dhamaal and De De Pyaar De – Ajay Devgn is looking forward to kick-starting 2020 with a bang! The superstar begins his New Year with the release of his ambitious film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Also starring Kajol and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles, the historical war drama is slated to release in cinemas on 10th January, 2020.

Besides Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Ajay Devgn has several other high-profile projects in his hand, including Bhuj: The Pride of India, Maidaan and RRR. Rumours have been doing the rounds lately that the superstar has also given his nod to play the lead role in celebrated filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming directorial venture Gangubai Kathiawadi, featuring Alia Bhatt in the title role.

When asked about the same, the two-time National Film Award-winning actor said that it is too early to talk about it. However, he did mention that he is in talks with Bhansali. "It is like asking someone are you married. No? Okay, how many children do you have? (Laughs). Bhai shaadi toh ho jane do pehle. Let's lock that first,” said Ajay Devgn.

The actor recently shot for a cameo in his close friend and frequent collaborator Rohit Shetty’s next film Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif as the leading pair. Talking about the same, he said, "Expect what you saw in Simmba (2018). I share an old friendship with Akshay. We have known each other for a long time. We spent time remembering our old days when we would keep pulling each other's legs. We narrated those incidents to those around us on the set and laughed remembering them."

Sooryavanshi is poised for its theatrical release on 27th March, 2020.
