One of the busiest Bollywood actresses Alia Bhatt has proved her mettle in every character. From playing a small town girl to essaying the character of a spy effortlessly, she has wowed audiences with several stellar performances.

After enthralling Hindi audiences with back-to-back hits, the talented actress has now set her eyes on ruling the southern film industry. If reports are to be believed, Alia is gearing up to make her Telugu debut with a big-budgeted film.

Recently, her name was being associated with filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli’s next project RRR. The latest update on the much-talked-about bilingual film is that Alia Bhatt has been signed on to play the female leads in it.

Rajamouli announced the high-profile project last year with Ram Charan and Jr NTR joining forces with him to play the male leads in it. And now the makers have found their female lead in Alia Bhatt, reportedly.

It’s for the first time that Alia will be working with the team and they’re very thrilled about it,” a well-placed source revealed.

The actress will next be seen in Dharma Productions’ fantasy drama Brahmastra. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film also features Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Dimple Kapadia and Nagarjuna.
