An action drama on the cards for Shah Rukh Khan?

Zero hit the silver screen in December 2018, and it has been more than a year since Shah Rukh Khan has not gone before cameras. Much has been speculated about the project that the superstar will take up next, but he is yet to open his card and make an official announcement.

Though SRK has not confirmed any film, the tinsel town is buzzing with rumours that he has given his nod to three movies which will be directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK and successful South Indian filmmaker Atlee each. While the superstar is yet to confirm his next, his name has been linked to yet another high-profile project.

Rumour mill suggests that Shah Rukh Khan has signed a big-ticket movie with his favourite banner, Yash Raj Films. It will be helmed by Siddharth Anand. “While the film with Rajkumar Hirani is on, the exciting news for SRK fans is that YRF has locked him for a biggie. The project will be directed by Siddharth Anand who gave 2019’s biggest blockbuster War which starred Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. With this project, the actor will return to the action drama genre which the fans have been eagerly waiting for a while. The makers are looking at 2021 release and the announcement will reportedly happen during YRF’s 50-year celebration. It is a part of YRF’s jubilee movies which will be announced soon,” a well-placed source informs an entertainment portal.

Yash Raj Films, which came into being in 1970, is set to clock 50 glorious years soon. In 2020, the premier production house will be releasing a number of biggies including Bunty Aur Babli 2, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Shamshera, Prithviraj, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.
