Ananya Panday & Ishaan Khatter’s Kaali Peeli to roll in mid September

Ananya Panday, who made her acting debut with Dharma Productions’ Student of the Year 2 (2019), has been offered a number of films since the release of her maiden movie. However, she seems in no hurry to sign films left right and centre.

After SOTY 2, Ananya Panday has signed only one film and that is Pati Patni Aur Woh, the official remake of the 1978 film by the same name. But if fresh reports are to be believed, the newcomer has just given a nod to her third film.

According to reports, Panday has been signed on to play the female lead in filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar’s maiden venture as a producer. Titled Kaali Peeli, the movie stars newcomer Ishaan Khatter as the male lead.

A source reveals to an entertainment portal, “Ananya has been shooting non-stop since the release of her first film Student of the Year 2. She was in Lucknow to finish her portions for Pati Patni Aur Woh. They have been constantly shooting nights in the city of Nawabs. Ananya finishes her shoot in the first week of September and will be back to the bay around 8th of next month.”

The source goes on to add that Panday and Khatter will start shooting for Kaali Peeli from mid-September, “The first schedule of Kaali Peeli is expected to roll out around mid-September. They are shooting in Mumbai and they start on September 15. It’s a unique love story that will be produced by Ali Abbas Zafar and directed by one of his associates.”

As mentioned above, Ananya Panday is presently busy shooting for her second film Pati Patni Aur Woh. Ishaan Khatter, on the other hand, is waiting to begin shooting for his digital debut in Mira Nair’s webseries A Suitable Boy, based on the classic novel by Vikram Seth.
