Arijit Singh on social media trolls: I don't read the comments

Arijit Singh is one of the most successful singers in Bollywood. His songs have won millions of hearts. In the age of social media, many celebrities have been actively involved in the activities of social media, however, Arijit Singh is among the few celebrities who is not active on social media. On being asked by a leading Indian daily about whether social media trolls affect him, he said, "I use my social media sparingly for things that are close to my heart. I don't read the comments. My team filters out the comments for me, I don't involve myself a lot into paying attention to criticism on social media. I speak what I want to speak and my team lets me know the needful."

The singer is glad that his song Binte Dil has been loved by the audience. Padmaavat was gripped by tension over controversies before its release, talking about the same, Arijit said, "Every film deserves a chance to be seen, there is a lot of hard work that goes into making any film. I am extremely glad that the song did so well. My heart goes out to everyone who were a part of this song, it wouldn't have happened without either of them."

On being tagged as a romantic singer, he said, "These are just stereotypical tags, this was not intentional at all. I sing all the songs that come to me with all my heart, with equal focus and dedication."

Arijit disapproves the fact that his romantic numbers work more than his fast paced songs. "I don’t think so at all. I have sung love songs, fast numbers as well as dance numbers. I am being as dynamic as possible with keeping my fans expectations in mind. I have sung various genres so far and they have done well," added the singer.
