On Thursday (14), the Mumbai Special NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) court reserved the order for October 20 on the bail application of Aryan Khan and others. On Wednesday (20), Khan’s bail was rejected.
News agency ANI tweeted, “Drugs on cruise ship case | Mumbai’s Special NDPS Court rejects bail applications of Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha.”
Khan was arrested on October 3 following a raid on the Goa-bound cruise ship. He was in the NCB’s custody for a few days and was later sent to judicial custody for 14 days. A bail plea filed by Khan was previously also rejected by a Mumbai court.
A few days ago, a Press Trust of India report said the NCB in its affidavit said that Khan was in touch with some persons who allegedly appeared to be a part of an international drug network for procurement of drugs.
The affidavit said, “During initial investigation, some international linkages pertinent to this applicant (Aryan Khan) have been unearthed which prima facie indicate towards illicit drug procurement. The investigation requires sufficient time so as to approach the foreign agency concerned.”
