Ayushmann Khurrana impresses everyone with his look in Dream Girl

After delivering two back-to-back hits – Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho – Ayushmann Khurrana has now started shooting for his forthcoming film, titled Dream Girl. The talented actor had announced the new project on 30th November.

Khurrana informed everyone about the commencement of the film by sharing the first look poster of it on his Twitter handle. As soon as the actor shared the poster on the micro-blogging site, Twitterati hailed the actor for his quirky avatar.


"As whacky as it can get! Here's the first glimpse of my look in and as #DreamGirl. Thoughts?" Khurrana tweeted along with the poster.

In Dream Girl, Ayushmann Khurrana is paired opposite actress Nushrat Bharucha who was most recently seen in Luv Ranjan’s bromantic comedy Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018).

Dream Girl is bankrolled by producer Ekta Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures. It will be directed by filmmaker Raaj Shaandilyaa.

Ekta, who is teaming up with Khurrana for the first time, took to Instagram to share the first look of the movie and wrote, “FILMING BEGINS JAI MATA DI! An incredible story that’s going to baffle you, make you laugh, and then win your hearts!”

The film is expected to hit screens in the second half of 2019.

Sweetmeats, a new play examining diabetes in south Asian communities, will have its world premiere at London’s Bush Theatre from 7 February 2026. Written by Karim Khan and directed by Tara Theatre’s Natasha Kathi-Chandra, the production follows Hema and Liaquat, two elders brought together on a diabetes support course. The play highlights both the health risks faced by south Asians and the rarely told stories of older characters on the British stage.
