Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan gets a new release date

Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Shubh Mangal Saavdhan released in 2017 and was a super hit at the box office. The film revolved a couple who are all set to get married but the man suffers from erectile dysfunction.  It was a few months ago when the makers announced the sequel to the film titled Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan which would revolve around homosexuality. Ayushmann will be seen playing the character of a gay man in the film.

The movie went on floors today and the makers have announced the new release date of the film. T-Series, who will be co-producing the film with Aanand L Rai, tweeted, “Mangal ke din iss Shubh muhurat par prastut hai #ShubhMangalZyadaSaavdhan!? Lock the date 13th March 2020. @ayushmannk @raogajraj @Neenagupta001 @itsBhushanKumar @aanandlrai @hiteshkewalya @Cypplofficial.”

Earlier, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan was slated to release during Valentine’s Day next year, but it has now been postponed by a month. Reportedly, Jitendra Kumar will be romancing Ayushmann in the film. However, the makers have not yet officially announced it.

Well, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan will be clashing with Janhvi Kapoor starrer Gunjan Saxena – The Kargil Girl. The latter is a biopic on IAF pilot Gunjan Saxena who became the first Indian woman to fly in the war zone during the 1999 Kargil War. Both the films are quite exciting and it will be interesting to see which movie will win the box office race.

Meanwhile, Ayushmann Khurrana is currently gearing up for the release of Dream Girl which is slated to hit the screens on 13th September 2019. Apart from Dream Girl and Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Ayushmann also has movies like Gulabo Sitabo and Bala. While the latter release this year in November, the former will hit the screens in 2020.
