Bigg Boss 12 winner Dipika Kakar bags a new show

Dipika Kakar needs no introduction. She is one of the most popular actresses on Indian television, who became a household name after playing the female lead in Rashmi Sharma Telefilms’ successful serial Sasural Simar Ka (2011-18).

After bidding goodbye to the show, which ran for almost 8 years on Colors, Kakar participated in superstar Salman Khan’s controversial reality show Bigg Boss and emerged as the winner of its 12th season.

The actress is away from any action after winning Bigg Boss 12, but if reports are to be believed, she will soon face the camera again for an upcoming television show which stars her opposite Karan V Grover. The show is being bankrolled by Sandiip Sikand.

Interestingly, Sandiip had approached Dipika to be the female lead of the show even before she went inside the glass-walled house Bigg Boss. When the actress came out of the house with the winning trophy in her hand, she thought the makers would have finalized the casting by then and hence did not approach them.

However, much to her surprise and delight, the makers had not finalized the female lead of the show. So, as soon as Dipika came out of the Bigg Boss house, she was signed on to be a part of the untitled project.

As per media reports, the yet-to-be-titled show is an unrequited love story. It revolves around two individuals who are willing to give love a second chance.

More details are awaited.
