Love Aaj Kal

Cocktail
Post Love Aaj Kal, once again there was a downfall in Deepika’s career. But things changed after the 2012 release Cocktail. Deepika Padukone became Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Leela in the filmmaker’s directorial Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. In 2015, Deepika Padukone starred in Shoojit Sircar’s Piku. The film revolved around a father and a daughter and as Piku, Deepika nailed in the movie. She won numerous awards for her performance in the film.

While Deepika was winning awards for her performance in Piku, we feel that in 2015, it was her performance in Tamasha for which she deserved awards. It is clearly one of the most layered characters Deepika has played on the big screen.
Bajirao Mastani
Sanjay Leela Bhansali roped in Deepika Padukone to play Mastani on the big screen in the film Bajirao Mastani.
