Bollywood actors who started their career with music videos

Nowadays there’s a trend of singles which are mostly recreated versions of old songs. However back in the 90s and early 2000, there were singles that were original and had a great concept in it. While most of the songs featured the singer itself, some of them also had our Bollywood celebs.

So, today let’s look at the list of Bollywood actors who started their career with music videos…


Vidya Balan

Before making us go Ooh La La with her performances on the big screen, Vidya Balan featured in Palash Sen’s music video Kabhi Aana Tu Meri Gali. While we didn’t get to see Vidya dancing in it, her lively screen presence impressed us a lot.

Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor made his debut with 2003 release Ishq Vishk. His chocolate boy avatar in the film stole every girl’s heart. Before his debut as a lead, Shahid appeared as a background dancer in movies like Dil To Pagal Hai and Taal, but not many know that he featured in Aryans’ single Aankhon Mein. Well, Shahid looked quite cute in the music video.

Ayesha Takia

Falguni Pathak’s music videos in the late 90s and early 2000 were a rage. They used to be chartbusters. In 2000, Pathak came up with the track Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye which featured Ayesha Takia. Ayesha was in her teens when she featured in the track and her innocence in the song was loved by everyone.

Divya Khosla Kumar

Many people would know Divya Khosla Kumar as a successful director and wife of T-Series’ head honcho, Bhushan Kumar. But not many would know that she is an actress and starred opposite Akshay Kumar in Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo. However, before her Bollywood debut, Divya featured in Falguni Pathak’s famous song Aiyo Rama.

Aamna Sharif

Looks like Falguni Pathak should be given credit for many actresses Bollywood and television debut. Aamna Sharif is known for her role of Kashish in TV serial Kahiin To Hoga, she then featured in Bollywood movies like Aloo Chaat, Ek Villain, and others. But before her television debut, Aamna starred in Falguni’s song Yeh Kisne Jadu Kiya.

Riya Sen

Here’s one more actress who before making her Bollywood debut featured in Falguni Pathak’s music video. Riya Sen made her Hindi film debut with Style, but before that 1998, the actress featured Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi. She showed off her thumkas in the song and impressed us.

Deepika Padukone

Last in our list is none other than Deepika Padukone. The actress before becoming Shah Rukh Khan’s Shanti in Om Shanti Om featured in a music video with Himesh Reshammiya titled Naam Hai Tera. Deepika with her charming smile had stolen our hearts in the song.

The reboot comes amid ongoing challenges behind the scenes. Amazon, which acquired MGM in 2021, is reportedly working closely with Eon Productions to map out the franchise’s future. However, tensions have arisen over creative direction, particularly around potential spin-offs like a Moneypenny series or a young Bond prequel. For now, the focus remains on the mainline films, with casting for the new Bond still up in the air.

This isn’t the first time Bond has undergone a transformation. The franchise has always adapted to the times, from the suave charm of Connery to the gritty realism of Craig. The shift to a campier tone mirrors the success of films like Kingsman, which proved that audiences still enjoy spy stories with a sense of fun.

If done right, the next Bond could strike a balance between humour and heart, appealing to both longtime fans and a new generation.
