Bollywood celebs take part in PM Modi’s #9pm9minutes initiative

A couple of weeks ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced a Janta Curfew and had told the citizens of India to come in their windows and galleries and applaud all the doctors, police officers and other who are working during the coronavirus outbreak. Well, a lot of Bollywood celebs had participated in it.

Now, a few days ago, PM Modi had told everyone that on 5th April 2020, the citizens of India will shut the lights of their houses and light diyas or candles or on the torch of their mobile phones in their windows and galleries for 9 minutes. Well, this time also a lot of Bollywood celebs took part in PM Modi’s #9pm9minutes initiative and posted the pictures and videos of the same on their social media.


Amitabh Bachchan posted on Instagram, ““है अँधेरी रात पर दीवा जलाना कब माना है " ... Yes the night is dark , but who did stop you from lighting a lamp .. another epic poem of my Father .. and how visionary it has proven tonight .. for the #9PM9minute call .. Will put up the entire poem by tomorrow .. on video !!♥️”

Akshay Kumar wrote, “Together we stand and together we will come out of this dark phase. Till then stay strong, stay safe ✨ #9Baje9Minute.”

Ranveer Singh posted a beautiful picture of himself and Deepika Padukone.

Karan Johar posted a video of his kids Yash and Roohi and captioned it as, “Let there be light.....there is light at the end of this dark tunnel....”

Katrina Kaif posted on Instagram, “May it be a light to u in dark places when all other lights go out “ (LOTR )..... ? ? #9baje9minute #staysafe #stayhome #togetherwearestronger.”

Arjun Kapoor captioned his picture as, “The darkest nights produce the brightest stars. Together, we shall overcome !!! #9MinutesForIndia.

'The Brutalist' and 'Emilia Perez' lead Golden Globe wins

Neil Young confirms Glastonbury performance after initial withdrawal

FOLK musician Neil Young has reversed his earlier decision to pull out of the Glastonbury music festival and will now headline the event, he announced alongside festival organisers on Friday.

Young had initially withdrawn from the festival, citing concerns over its "corporate control" through its association with the BBC. However, he later clarified that the decision was based on "an error in the information I received."
