Boman Irani joins Vivek Oberoi on the cast of PM Narendra Modi biopic

Talented actor Boman Irani, who is currently in news for setting up his own moviemaking banner, Irani Movietone, has been signed on to play an important role in filmmaker Omung Kumar’s next directorial venture PM Narendra Modi.

PM Narendra Modi, as the title suggests itself, is a biopic on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chronicles his rise from the Chief Minister of Gujarat to one of the most powerful leads in the world. The film stars Vivek Oberoi in the titular role.


“It’s a strong team comprising Sandip Ssingh, Omung Kumar and Vivek Anand Oberoi and I am looking forward to working with them. This has been a great start to my New Year and I am looking forward to this remarkable journey.” Boman said in a statement.

Sandip Ssingh, the producer of the movie, also expressed his happiness over Boman joining the cast of his project. “I believe a strong cast is a foundation to making a great film. We are very excited to have such amazing actors on board and I can’t wait to begin shooting,” said the producer.

PM Narendra Modi is expected to begin production in the first week of February.

Talking about other projects of Boman, the actor will shortly be seen in Indra Kumar’s comic-caper Total Dhamaal, which also stars Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, etc.

The film releases on 22nd February.

Northern Ireland approves extension of post-Brexit trade rules

NORTHERN Ireland’s devolved government has voted to continue implementing post-Brexit trading arrangements under the Windsor Framework, a deal signed between London and the European Union in February 2023.

The vote in the Northern Ireland Assembly at Stormont extended the arrangement for four years.

'Covid bereavement rates in Scotland highest among Asians'

THE bereavement rates due to Covid in Scotland have been highest among those identifying with ‘Any other’ ethnic group (68 per cent), followed by Indians (44 per cent) and Pakistanis (38 per cent), a new study revealed. This is significantly higher than the national average of around 25 per cent.

Ethnic groups were found to be two-and-a-half times more likely to have experienced the loss of a close family member during the Covid crisis.

Harshita Brella case: Marriage, abuse, and a tragic end
