Boney Kapoor confirms making a film on Sridevi

Yesterday, it was being widely reported that filmmaker Boney Kapoor has registered three titles for a film he wants to make on her late wife, Sridevi. Today, confirming the news, he said, "I have registered three titles, but I cannot categorically reveal what they are. It's too premature to talk about it."

Some media outlets have reported in the past that Kapoor is planning a documentary on the late actress' life. When the filmmaker was asked about the same, he said, "There are plans to make a film, but I can't tell you whether it will be a biopic or documentary. I don't see the need to rush into anything. Whenever there is any further development, everyone will come to know about it."

A source close to the filmmaker revealed that Boney has already started working on the ambitious project. He is currently working on the script which is being written by a prolific writer. If all goes well, the shooting for the project will start in 2019.

Sridevi, who won the Best Actress Award posthumously for Mom, breathed her last on 24th February 2018. She had gone to attend a relative's wedding in Dubai where she was found dead in her hotel room.
