Confirmed: Aiyaary to hit screens on 9th February

After a lot of speculations, it has finally been confirmed that Neeraj Pandey's hotly anticipated film Aiyaary will arrive in cinemas on 9th February. Starring Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee in prominent roles, the film was earlier scheduled to release on 26th January.

However, the makers decided to push their film forward by two weeks because they did not want to lock horns with R Balki's Pad Man and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, which are releasing on 25th January.

Neeraj Pandey, who has helmed films like A Wednesday, Special 26 and Baby, took to Twitter to announce the new release date of the film. He wrote, "Looks like you'll have to wait a couple of weeks longer to witness our #Aiyaary. Now in cinemas on Feb 9".

Besides Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee, Aiyaary also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Pooja Chopra, Naseeruddin Shah, and Anupam Kher.

The is produced by Friday Filmworks, Plan C and PEN India.

The Divine Feminine: Prashasti Singh talks power, pressure, and laughter

Highlights:

  • Prashasti’s comedy comes from real-life stories, not just punchlines.
  • The show explores modern women chasing success but still feeling unfulfilled.
  • She quit a secure corporate job and jumped into comedy.
  • Stand-up made her stop being scared of talking to people.
  • People laugh together at the same everyday problems.

Prashasti Singh started her stand-up terrified of speaking in public. “I was very conscious of my language, my pronunciation, my accent. I thought stand-up wouldn’t be my thing,” she says. But her first open mic changed that. “It felt like I was among a bunch of sisters, a bunch of friends. I just forgot all my nervousness. It came out very naturally.”
