Dabangg 3: Sudeep to shoot a larger-than-life face-off with Salman in May

Well-known South Indian actor Sudeep, who has signed on to play the lead antagonist in Dabangg 3, will start shooting for his portion next month. Dabangg 3, the third instalment of the highly successful Hindi film franchise Dabangg, stars Salman Khan in the lead role, who returns to reprise his iconic character of Chulbul Pandey once again.

The hotly anticipated movie started its first schedule in the temple town of Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh, on April 1 where the team shot for the title track, “Main Hoon Dabangg” with superstar Salman Khan.

After wrapping the Maheshwar schedule, the unit flew back to Mumbai where the second schedule of the film kicked-off recently. Currently, the Prabhudeva directorial is being shot in the Goregaon Filmcity. After filming some important scenes with Sonakshi Sinha and Arbaaz Khan at Filmcity, the team will head off to an adjoining area Dahisar where several high-octane action scenes are planned to be shot, including an intense confrontation scene between Salman Khan and Sudeep.

“He plays a goon in the film and will be seen in an intense, larger-than-life face-off with the hero. In this film, the villain’s track is more of a parallel lead,” a source close to the development divulges.

After wrapping up the Dahisar schedule, Salman Khan will squeeze out some time to kick-off promotional activities of his upcoming release, Bharat. The trailer of the keenly-awaited film was launched a couple of days ago, which inflamed the internet in no time. Also starring Katrina Kaif, Tabu, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff and Suniel Shetty, the Ali Abbas Zafar director buzzes into cinemas on Eid, 2019.

You arrive in Kochi, and it feels like the sea air makes everything slightly sharper; faces in the city look purposeful, a film poster peels at the corner of a wall. In a city that has cradled a thriving film industry for decades, a single crime on the night of 17 February 2017 ruptured the ordinary: an abduction, a recorded sexual assault and a survivor who reported it the next day. What happened next is every woman’s unspoken nightmare, weaponised into brutal reality. It was a public unpeeling of an industry’s power structures, a slow-motion fight over evidence and testimony, and a national debate about how institutions protect (or fail) women.

For over eight years, her fight for justice became a mirror held up to an entire industry and a society. It was a journey from the dark confines of that car to the glaring lights of a courtroom, from being a silenced victim to becoming a defiant survivor whose voice sparked a revolution. This is not just the story of a crime. It is the story of what happens when one woman says, "Enough," and the tremors that follow.
