Deepika Padukone & Sanjay Leela Bhansali to collaborate again?

Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have created sheer magic on celluloid whenever the two have teamed up in the past. They first collaborated in the year 2013 on the film Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela. Also starring Ranveer Singh, the movie turned out to be a massive hit at the box-office. Their second collaboration was Bajirao Mastani (2015), which also set the box-office on fire. In 2018, the duo joined forces for Padmaavat, yet another blockbuster.

Buzz has it that Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Leela Bhansali may collaborate once again. As of late, many A-list actors have been spotted at Bhansali’s office in Mumbai. Whenever an actor is seen at the filmmaker’s office, rumours about a new project spread in media like a wildfire. Recently, Deepika Padukone was also photographed at the office of the filmmaker. Resultantly, speculations are rife that another collaboration between the two is on the cards.

“Bhansali is planning quite a few projects. Alia Bhatt’s fears have now been assuaged after the shelving of Inshallah, with him telling her that they are working together very soon. He is also in the middle of making an announcement for his next project. So, with Deepika making a visit, we wonder what it could be all about,” a source in the know tells a publication.

Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone is awaiting the release of her upcoming film Chhapaak. Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, the much-awaited movie is a biographical drama based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Chhapaak is scheduled to hit theatres on 10th January, 2020.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali, on the other hand, is waiting for the right time to announced his next project. Rumours are rife that he is making Gangubai with Alia Bhatt. The official announcement could be made anytime.
