Deepika & Siddhant pair up for Dharma Productions’ next?

After delivering a breakout performance in his debut film Gully Boy (2019), Siddhant Chaturvedi has become a hot property in Bollywood. The actor has been offered a number of movies in the past few months, but he seems in no hurry in signing projects left, right and centre.

Siddhanth Chaturvedi, however, is rumoured to have given his nod to Yash Raj Films’ next offering. The latest we hear that the young actor has also been signed on to headline Dharma Productions’ next film to be directed by filmmaker Shakun Batra. Buzz has it that Deepika Padukone will play his love interest in the untitled project.

“Shakun wanted to cast a fresh face along with Deepika and he felt Siddhant fit the bill. It is a special script for both Shakun and Karan, and they are raring to take the film on the floors next year. It is set in India and the team is currently working on the logistics and finalising the locations. Apart from Deepika and Siddhant, the film will feature two more prominent actors,” a source in the know informs a tabloid.

Meanwhile, Siddhant Chaturvedi can be currently seen in the second season of Amazon Prime Original Inside Edge, which premiered on 6th December. Deepika Padukone, on the other hand, is awaiting the release of her next film Chhapaak. Directed by renowned filmmaker Meghna Gulzar, the movie also stars Vikrant Massey in the lead role. It is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Chhapaak is scheduled to arrive in theatres on 10th January, 2020.

After Chhapaak, the Padmaavat (2018) actress will also be seen sharing the screen space with husband Ranveer Singh in Kabir Khan’s much-awaited sports drama ’83, slated to release on 10th April, 2020.
