Model-turned-actor Dino Morea, who is known for such successful films as Raaz (2002), Gunaah (2002) and Aksar (2006), has been missing from the scene for quite a long time now. If you missed the actor all this while, the good news is that he is set to swing back in action, in a different avatar though.

Dino Morea is gearing up to produce a comedy film titled Helmet, under his production house DM Movies. The latest we hear that the actor-turned-producer has joined forces with Sony Pictures Networks Productions to produce the quirky comedy.

To be helmed by Satram Ramani, Helmet features Aparshakti Khurana and Pranutan Bahl in lead roles. Known for his rib-tickling performances in Stree (2018), Luka Chuppi (2019) and Pati Patni Aur Who (2019), Khurana will play the lead role for the first time in his career. Pranutan Bahl, granddaughter of iconic actress Nutan, debuted in Bollywood with Salman Khan Films’ Notebook (2019) where she received widespread praises for her performance.

Besides Aparshakti Khurana and Pranutan Bahl, Helmet also features Abhishek Banerjee who has been a part of several successful films like Stree, Dream Girl (2019) and Bala (2019) and Ashish Verma.

Vivek Krishnani, Managing Director – Sony Pictures Entertainment India, stated, “At Sony, we have always aimed at supporting those projects that stem from a strong content base and are glad that Dino Morea brought this film to us. We believe in telling insightful stories and Helmet is one such film that picks a subject that is of utmost need today and is told in a way which will touch a chord with audiences. We are also happy to present the talented Aparshakti Khurana in a lead role as we have always believed in backing upcoming talents and providing them a platform to excel.”

Helmet has already started its shoot in Varanasi. The film is slated for a worldwide release in 2020.
