By: Mohnish Singh

According to reports, Bollywood actress Disha Patani has been cast to pair up with Baahubali star Prabhas in his forthcoming film Salaar. The Telugu film, which was announced a couple of weeks ago, will be helmed by KGF: Chapter 1 and 2 director Prashanth Neel.

When Neel announced the high-profile film along with dropping its first-look, it was known that he was still looking for the right actress to star alongside Prabhas. Now, an Indian publication reports that Patani seems to have bagged the plum project.

Sharing the first-look poster of the film, Prashanth Neel had written, “An action saga Salaar. The most violent men called one man the most violent. For the love of cinema, breaking the fence of languages, presenting to you an Indian film. Dearest welcome to darling Prabhas sir.”

According to reports, Prabhas will wrap up Salaar before commencing work on his other projects Adipurush and an untitled film with Nag Ashwin. He is presently busy wrapping up his next Radhe Shyam, co-starring Pooja Hegde.

He is expected to start filming Salaar in the first week of January 2021 and complete it by May. He will then begin working on Adipurush and Nag Ashwin's project in the second half of 2021.

Reportedly, the regular shoot of Salaar will start in Ramoji Film City from January 18, 2021. The major part of the film will be shot in Hyderabad and Bengaluru. It will be a pan-Indian film as the makers are planning to release it in five languages.

Disha Patani, on the other hand, is waiting for the release of her next film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai wherein she romances superstar Salman Khan. She also toplines Ekta Kapoor’s next productions KTina and Ek Villain 2.
