Email bomb threat forces evacuation of New Delhi school

According to the police, a threat of bombs on the premises of a school located in South Delhi's Defence Colony was received via email on Wednesday (12) morning, resulting in the evacuation of the school.

As a precautionary measure, the bomb squad and other relevant agencies are currently conducting a thorough inspection to detect any potentially hazardous materials.


The email informing the authorities about the threat was sent by a person named Brijesh from The Indian School, BRT Road, and was received at 10:49 am.

A senior police officer confirmed that the school has been completely evacuated and the situation is being closely monitored. Nothing suspicious has been found yet.
