“Going to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali very soon,” confirms Alia Bhatt

Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt were all psyched up about getting together for a romantic film called Inshallah. Bhansali had even spent months recceing suitable location to carry out the shoot.

However, as the team was getting ready to begin the first schedule, Salman Khan dropped a bomb, saying the film will not be able to release on Eid 2020. Hours later, fans were shocked to know that the much-talked-about project had been shelved.

Alia Bhatt has been a huge admirer of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She always wanted to work with him. So, when she was offered Inshallah, she was on cloud nine. In an interview, she said that she jumped in a corner for five minutes, unable to believe she was going to be working with Bhansali.

However, the actress was heartbroken when Inshallah got shelved. But then news came in that Bhansali has offered her a new film. It looks like the news was indeed true, as the actress has herself confirmed that she will be working with the prolific filmmaker "very soon".

"I was very excited to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman as well. I believe sometimes certain things happen which are not in your control. They say if you want to make God laugh, tell them your plans. Plans never really go 'as per plan' but I can give it to you in writing that I am going to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali very soon," said Alia Bhatt on the sidelines of the 20th edition of IIFA awards.

If reports are to be believed, Bhansali has offered Alia Bhatt a film called Gangubai. An official confirmation is awaited though.
