A glitch on Wednesday had google displaying India's current prime minister Narendra Modi's photograph alongisde a description of Jawaharlal Nehru when one typed "India's first PM" on to the search engine.
However, click on the Wikipedia link that accompanies the photograph and it lists down all the country's prime ministers in the right order, with the correct photographs next to them.
This mess-up did not go well with the Congress, and soon the party's social media in-charge Divya Spandana took to Twitter to share her annoyance. "@Google @GoogleIndia what algorithm of yours allows this?! You're so full of junk-", tweeted Spandana.
Google soon rectified the mistake.
Check out a few responses to Google's gafffe below:
Congress Social Media Head is so Smart that she needs to Google who was India's First PM. And she doesn't know how Google keywords work, or whether technically problem is with the Wikipedia page. But then, that's how Congress algorithm for Distributing Posts works. Full of junk! pic.twitter.com/PcNImPx3VU
