Has Shahid Kapoor locked his next post Kabir Singh?

During the promotion of his upcoming film Kabir Singh, which is an official remake of cult South Indian film Arjun Reddy (2017), superstar Shahid Kapoor did not get tired of telling media that how he is currently unemployed as he has not signed any new film after Kabir Singh.

However, if latest reports are to be believed, the dashing star has finally found an interesting project that he would like to work on after the release of Kabir Singh. The untitled film will be bankrolled by renowned filmmaker Nikkhil Advani, while Lucknow Central (2017) fame Ranjit Tiwari will call the shots.

A source close to the development reveals that Shahid Kapoor has already given his verbal nod to the project. "Shahid has been in talks with Nikkhil Advani for a film for the last few months. Both Nikkhil and Shahid have been sitting together on meetings and deciding how the script can be bettered. It's again in the drama space and Shahid has really liked the idea. He has already given his verbal nod to the film but is yet to sign on the dotted line. If everything goes well, he will begin Nikkhil's film after Kabir Singh. He also plans to take a small family trip in between."

Earlier, Shahid was expected to begin work on the Dingko Singh biopic. But as things stand today, that project will take some time before rolling as it is still at the writing stage. "Shahid really wanted to kick-start the Dingko Singh biopic but there are some creative issues on the same. They are reworking on the script and once they are both happy, only then will Shahid begin the boxer's biopic,” informs the same source.

Also starring Kiara Advani, Kabir Singh is scheduled to roll into theatres in 21st August.
