Here’s how Rajkummar Rao defines success

Rajkummar Rao is undoubtedly one of the finest actors that Bollywood has produced in the past decade. From playing parallel lead to headlining some of the biggest blockbusters on his own, Rao has witnessed a meteoric rise in his career over the years. Today, he is one of the most in-demand actors in Bollywood, who boasts of a long list of exciting projects on his platter.

In one of his recent interviews, when the National Film Award-winning actor was asked what does success mean to him, he replied, “I think success, for me, is to keep doing what I love doing most. To keep getting the opportunities to continue that is success for me. It is also to choose the kind of work I want to do and to do it with utmost honesty. I hope the day will never come when I sign a film for any reason other than the fact that I like the character or connect with the story. That is what success is for me, as long as cinema is there in my life.”

Last seen in the Vidhu Vinod Chopra-produced Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga (2019), Rajkummar Rao is presently looking forward to the release of his much-awaited film, Judgemental Hai Kya. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, Judgemental Hai Kya is a special film for Rao as it reunites him with his Queen (2014) costar, Kangana Ranaut, after a huge gap of five years. It is scheduled to roll into theatres on 26th July, 2019.

After the release of Judgemental Hai Kya, Rajkummar Rao will next be seen in Maddock Films’ comic-caper, Made In China, which pairs him with Mouni Roy. The film releases on 30th August, 2019. His next releases are Turram Khan with Nushrat Bharucha and Roohi Afza with Janhvi Kapoor.
