Here’s how Zareen Khan is keeping herself busy amid lockdown

The coronavirus lockdown has started taking a toll on a lot many people. In India, the lockdown was expected to be lifted on 14th April, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended it further till May 3. If we keep the rising number of COVID-19 patients in India in mind, the possibility of another extension cannot be ruled out.

In an interview, when actress Zareen Khan was asked what is keeping her busy these days, she said, “Keeping me busy right now is household activities. I am not somebody who has a full-time maid or help. My mother does not believe in having a full-time help. And in this lockdown, no help at all. We are doing all household activities all by ourselves. Work is distributed between me, my sister and mom.”

The actress said that she clearly remembers the chaos when she had stepped out of her house to buy groceries before the official announcement of the lockdown was made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“An unofficial lockdown had already started before March 25, as people were being asked to stay indoors. My mother had sent me and my sister out to buy grocery, and Prime Minster Narendra Modi was set to address the nation at 8pm. After I stepped out, I remember the chaos and panic I witnessed. I had no idea because I was out. There were lines, crowds, and I thought this is exactly what we were supposed to avoid,” she said.

Khan added that the lockdown period has given her an opportunity to bond well with her family. “We are all eating together and I don’t remember the last time we did that, having a meal with my entire family.”
