Himesh Reshammiya announces comeback film

Singer, composer and actor Himesh Reshammiya is set to grace the silver screen once again. He was last seen in T-Series Films’ 2016 release Teraa Surroor, which was a moderate success at the box-office.

Reshammiya is making his big screen comeback with a romantic film called Main Jahan Rahoon. Interestingly, the title of the film has been taken from a song which he composed for the Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Namastey London in 2007.

For the soundtrack of Main Jahan Rahoon, Himesh Reshammiya has teamed up with his favourite lyricist Javed Akhtar. The duo has already recorded all the songs to be featured in the film. The movie will be helmed by Rajesh Sethi, who will be making his directorial debut with the project.

“All seven romantic tracks by the duo are complete. The female lead and other cast are being finalised. We start shooting from September 27, my guru Yash Chopra’s birthday,” said the director.

Talking about the film, Reshammiya says, “Main Jahan Rahoon will also be a pure love story. Namastey London was a fantastic experience and like the previous film, this one too is a pure love story. Javed saab’s lyrics are magical. It has taken me a year to compose and record them but I know every song will connect with everyone who has been in love.”

Reshammiya goes on to add that Main Jahan Rahoon will have a Yash Chopra feel to it. “I can promise you that in terms of visuals and writing, it will be in the zone of a Yash Chopra film. Rajeshji has developed a sensitive story based on real incidents. We will shoot in the UK and Delhi,” he signs off.

Besides Main Jahan Rahoon, Himesh will also be working on The Xposé Returns, a sequel to his 2014 film The Xposé.
