Imtiaz Ali and Shahid Kapoor to join forces again after 10 years!

Jab We Met, one of the biggest hits of Shahid Kapoor’s career, clocked 10 years on 30th October. Also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, the film was directed by acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali. And if reports are to be believed, Imtiaz and Shahid are all set to join hands again. Yes, you heard that right.

Shahid Kapoor is currently gearing up for the release of his historical drama Padmavati. Also featuring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in prominent parts, the film sees Kapoor in a royal avatar. He plays king Rawal Ratan Singh in the movie.

After Padmavati, the actor will move on to shoot his upcoming film Batti Gul Meter Chalu. If you have noticed, the actor has been hiding his face from paparazzi at airports and during his recent public appearances. If reports are to be believed, it is apparently because he is trying to hide the look of his next Batti Gul Meter Chalu.

Reportedly, it is after completing Shree Narayan Singh’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu that the actor will be joining hands with his Jab We Met director, Imtiaz Ali once again.

In the past there were many reports which claimed that Imtiaz is quite keen to rope in Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in his next directorial venture. But now it seems that Shahid has bagged the film. According to a report in a leading daily, Sasha and Imtiaz will be coming together for a love story, which will go on floors in summer.

A source close to the project revealed, “The film kicks off in Mumbai in April followed by an extensive shoot both in India and abroad. At the moment, Imtiaz is still looking for a leading lady to cast opposite Shahid for this romcom.”
