Barun Sobti's Argentinian super fan on her devotion to the star

TALENTED Indian actor Barun Sobti has a global fan base dedicated to following all of his work and showing him unconditional support.

One of these fans is Valeria from Buenos Aires in Argentina, who always goes that one extra step for the popular star. Eastern Eye caught up with the super fan to find out more.

What first connected you to Barun Sobti?

My first connection with Barun Sobti was through his series Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon and despite not understanding the language, I saw it countless times. Then when Peru began transmitting it, dubbed into Spanish, I was able to watch it fully.

What made you a super fan?

His acting surprised me. He captivated me and I could not stop looking at him.

Tell us something super you have done for Barun?

I will always support him in whatever way I can. One crazy thing I did for Barun was getting up at 2.30am to see the premiere of The Great Indian Dysfunctional Family even though it was in Hindi. I had to wait almost three months to see it again with subtitles, but it was worth it.

What has been your most memorable moment?

The most memorable moment without a doubt was the arrival of Sifat his daughter. All Sobtians looked forward to her arrival. The Sobtians are a big family and I’m happy to be one of them.

What is the thing you most love about Barun?

It’s his simplicity, which makes it feel like he is one of us. He is able to show all his talent when the cameras are on and is constantly growing as an actor.

Which quality in Barun do you most relate to?

His way of being. No matter how much is said about him, he just carries on and is unstoppable. I also relate to the way he loves his family, friends and animals. I also play Candy Crush like him and would like to know at what level he is. Finally, his crazy hair – I usually have mine like that, but only at home. I love him and relate to him in many ways.

What is your favourite work he has done?

Without a doubt (his character) Arnav Singh Raizada. I fell in love with him and continue to fall in love with all his characters from start to finish.

Why do you love being a super fan?

Barun has his feet on the ground, knows what he wants and continues to rise as an artist. He is admirable in so many ways and I am proud to be a fan. Twitter: @valeriamateo80.
