Irrfan Khan extends London trip after wrapping up Angrezi Medium

Every Hindi film enthusiast is waiting for Irrfan Khan’s return to the silver screen with bated breath. After a long fight with neuroendocrine tumour, the talented actor will be making his comeback to movies with Maddock Films’ Angrezi Medium. As the title suggests itself, the film is a sequel to Khan’s 2017 satirical drama Hindi Medium, which also featured Pakistani actress Saba Qamar in the lead role.

Irrfan Khan recently finished the second and final schedule of Angrezi Medium in London. But instead of flying back to India immediately, the National Film Award-winning actor decided to extend his stay in London. The reason for the extension of his stay in the city is to spend some time with his family and enjoy nice moments during the summer of the city with his wife and especially his sons.

A source close to the actor says that the actor decided to spend the summer in London on the insistence of his children. “Both of his sons insisted on spending more time in the UK. It’s both his sons’ vacation time, so Irrfan is keen to expose both Babil and Ayan to the theatre culture of the city. It’s the season for the best plays to be screened and the actor thinks it will be a good experience for both of them to broaden their horizons beyond movies and understand art more holistically. The family will stay through the month will return to Mumbai in the second half of August.”

Besides Irrfan Khan, Angrezi Medium also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Radhika Madan in important roles. Homi Adajania of Cocktail (2012) fame has called the shots for the film. Dinesh Vijan is the producer of the film. Angrezi Medium hits the marquee in the first half of 2020.
