Is Hrithik Roshan playing Ram in Ramayan?

Superstar Hrithik Roshan is currently busy basking in the huge success of his latest film Super 30. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the movie hit screens on 12th July and has been performing exceedingly well ever since. After clocking ₹ 100 crores within ten days, the movie is now inching towards earning ₹ 150 crores domestically.

While Super 30 is still running successfully in cinemas, fans are curious to know which film the superstar will take up as his next since the much-awaited Krrish 4 is going to take some more time in taking off. In the past few days, Hrithik Roshan’s name has been associated with several high-profile projects from the official remake of Satte Pe Satta (1982) to an untitled film with ace director Aanand L Rai.


The latest we hear that rumours about Hrithik Roshan being approached for the multilingual project Ramayan have begun surfacing. Reportedly, Junior Roshan is being considered for the role of Lord Ram in the film. The 3D movie will be a live-action trilogy made in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, with a humongous budget of ₹ 500 crore.

Filmmakers Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar will direct the multi-crore project. Tiwari, who is currently busy with the post-production of his upcoming film Chhichhore, told an entertainment website that he is looking forward to working in Ramayan. “I am looking forward to working in Ramayan, something that I am really excited about. Once done with Chhichhore, I will go back to start working for Ramayan. It is a challenge for me as I have a sense of responsibility to bring the project in its true form of glory for the country,” said the Dangal (2016) helmer.
