Jackie Shroff reunites with Sanjay Dutt & Manisha Koirala in Prassthanam

Jackie Shroff, who is currently seen in a brief role in much-talked-about action entertainer Saaho (2019), has a number of movies lined up for release in 2019 and 2020. After Saaho, he is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Prassthanam.

Prassthanam is an official remake of a 2010 Telugu-language political action drama of the same name. Sanjay Dutt has remade the film under his production house Sanjay S Dutt Productions. The film reunites Jackie Shroff with Sanjay Dutt and Manisha Koirala. The trio, who last worked together on the Mahesh Bhatt-directed Kartoos (1999), have collaborated after a massive gap of 20 years for Prassthanam.

Speaking about their reunion after two decades, Jackie Shroff said, “There was a free flow of energy because, for us, it was like picking up from where we had left off. Even though the industry is a small world sometimes it takes years for friends to meet and working together takes even longer.’’

Jackie Shroff, who is known for his humility and friendly nature, further added, “We love each other intensely but don’t need to say it aloud. If you show your love openly, it catches the evil eye.”

Directed by Deva Katta, who also helmed the original Telugu film almost a decade ago, Prassthanam is produced by Sanjay and Maanayata Dutt. It stars Sanjay Dutt, Manisha Koirala, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Panday, Ali Fazal, Amyra Dastur and Satyajeet Dubey in important roles. The movie is scheduled to release on 20th September 2019.
