Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar’s Dhadak wrapped up

Newcomers Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar have wrapped up their much-awaited film Dhadak which went on floors on 1st December 2017. Helmed by Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania fame Shashank Khaitan, the movie is produced by Karan Johar under Dharma Productions. The filmmaker took to Twitter to announce the completion of his film.

Dhadak, which has been shot across Jaipur, Mumbai and Kolkata, is an official remake of the hit Marathi-language film Sairat. It marks the acting debut of Janhvi Kapoor, while it will be the second film for Ishaan Khattar as his debut movie Beyond The Clouds releases before Dhadak.


Janhvi is the daughter of veteran Bollywood actress Sridevi who breathed her last recently due to accidental drowning in a bathtub. Her untimely death has increased the buzz around her daughter’s debut film even more.

Dhadak is scheduled for its theatrical bow on 20th July 2018.

The theatre was packed for the Third Shanghai–London Screen Industry Forum. Between panels and workshops, filmmakers, producers and executives discussed ideas and business cards and it felt more than just a summit. British-Asian filmmakers were meeting and greeting the Chinese industry in an attempt to explore genuine possibilities of working in China’s film market.
