Kangana Ranaut wishes to have a solo release for Manikarnika

Queen (2014) actress Kangana Ranaut, who was last seen in Simran (2017), is presently busy with the post-production work of her next release, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.

Her historical movie, wherein she essays the character of freedom fighter Rani Laxmi Bai, is set to lock horn with Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 and Emraan Hashmi’s Cheat India on Indian Republic Day, 2019.

However, Ranaut hopes that her upcoming film gets a solo release at the box office. Her hopes might be fulfilled because, as per reports, Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 is running behind its due schedule and chances are strong that the makers of Cheat India will also push their film to some other date.

"Our film has a patriotic theme so, that date (Republic Day) is very important for us, and we will be very happy to have a solo release on that day," said the National award-winning actress.

When probed about the post-production work of the film, she said, "Actually, we were feeling that we are in a war zone because the post-production of the film is taking place. Our film is on a huge scale, so there are lots of VFX involved in the film, but now, by the grace of God, our deadlines are under control. It's an amazing experience. After January 25, I will be very happy to sort of take a little break and go somewhere because I have been working so long on this film.”

Aside from Kangana Ranaut, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi also stars Ankita Lokhande, Atul Kulkarni, Danny Denzongappa, and Jisshu Sengupta in important roles. Helmed by Krish, the movie releases on January 25.
