Kangana Ranaut's psychological thriller titled Mental Hai Kya?

Some weeks ago, it was reported that Kangana Ranaut’s next will be a psychological thriller opposite Rajkummar Rao. The film will be debutante Prakash Kovelamudi’s directorial. Prakash Kovelamudi is Tollywood filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao’s son. Talking about the film and its title, Kangana Ranaut revealed, "My next film is Mental Hai Kya, which is written by a woman screenplay writer, Kanika. The story is about a woman who could be a murderer or a mentally ill person. It talks about mental health, but also has a light-heartedness to it."

Earlier, a source informed a leading Indian daily, “It’s a fast-paced thriller revolving around the two protagonists. Set in London and Mumbai, it is expected to roll in March. Raj recently heard the script and immediately came on board. Both Kangana and he are looking forward to working with each other once again."

"The actor will start shooting after wrapping up Shelly Dhar’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, which also features Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Juhi Chawla and Amar Kaushik’s horror-comedy Stree co-starring Shraddha Kapoor. The film has been written by Prakash’s wife, writer Kanika Dhillon who has earlier written the screenplay and dialogue for the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Ra.One, Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath and her husband’s Anushka Shetty-starrer Tamil-Telugu bilingual, Size Zero," the source added.

Earlier, during an interview, Rajkummar Rao was asked about his co-star Kangana Ranaut. He had said, "Kangana and I are really great friends. We got along really well on the sets of Queen. It’s pretty easy to make her happy."
