Kareena Kapoor Khan reteams with Aamir Khan for Lal Singh Chaddha

Ever since Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan announced that he will next star in Lal Singh Chaddha, fans have been keeping a close tab on every development related to the film. Rumours were rife of late that Kareena Kapoor Khan will join forces with Khan once again to play his female lead in the movie.

Talking about the same, a source close to the development had earlier said, "Aamir wants Kareena to play the part. She is in London till August, shooting for Angrezi Medium. She will make a pit stop in Mumbai next month for her TV commitments. The final call on the casting will be taken then."

The latest we hear that the diva has finally given her nod to the project and an official announcement could follow soon. If the news is indeed true, then Lal Singh Chaddha will mark Kareena Kapoor Khan’s third collaboration with Aamir Khan after 3 Idiots (2009) and Talaash: The Answer Lies Within (2012).

Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan is currently busy with her debut television show Dance India Dance, which is a dance reality show on popular entertainment channel, ZEE TV. The diva is judging the show along with Bosco Martis and Raftaar.

She will soon start shooting for Maddock Films’ satirical movie Angrezi Medium. The film, which is a sequel to the 2017 hit Hindi Medium, also stars Irrfan Khan and Radhika Madan in lead roles. After wrapping up Angrezi Medium, the actress will start working on Karan Johar’s much-awaited period drama Takht. However, if Kareena Kapoor Khan is doing Lal Singh Chaddha, then she may start shooting for the Aamir Khan starrer before Takht.

Lal Singh Chaddha is an official remake of Hollywood biggie Forrest Gump. Aamir Khan is playing the same role in the remake which Tom Hank played in the original film. Advait Chauhan, who made his directorial debut with Secret Superstar (2017), is calling the shots for Laal Singh Chaddha, which is written by Atul Kulkarni.
