Katrina Kaif calls Sooryavanshi a dream team

Katrina Kaif is over the moon after the huge success of her latest release Bharat (2019). Starring Salman Khan in the lead role, Bharat was helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar with whom Kat had previously worked on two successful films such as Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011). The success of Bharat has undoubtedly brought the actress back in the reckoning as her brand had suffered a lot after the failure of biggies like Thugs of Hindostan (2018) and Zero (2018) the previous year.

After the success of Bharat, Katrina Kaif has joined forces with superstar Akshay Kumar for the upcoming cop-drama Sooryavanshi. The film reunites both the actor after a decade having been last seen together in Farah Khan’s heist drama Tees Maar Khan (2010). Sooryavanshi also marks their first collaboration with hit filmmaker Rohit Shetty.

Katrina Kaif, who has been shooting for the film for the past few weeks now, is all praises about her experience so far. “Sooryavanshi has a really interesting story and I have always loved Rohit’s films. Akshay and I reunite for the film and we have worked in some great films in the past. It’s a dream team and I am happy to be a part of it,” said the actress to a newswire.

Apart from Sooryavanshi, Katrina Kaif has no other Hindi film in her kitty at the moment. However, speculations are rife that she is set to reteam with choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan to star in the official remake of the1982 cult film Satte Pe Satta, originally starring megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in lead roles. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is expected to play the lead role in the remake. However, no official announcement has been made so far in this regard.
