Katrina Kaif confirms being in talks for PT Usha biopic

After the debacle of Thugs of Hindostan and Zero in 2018, Katrina Kaif has finally tasted success with her latest release, Bharat. Co-starring Salman Khan, Sunil Grover and Disha Patani, the Ali Abbas directorial has set the box-office on fire. The movie, which released on the auspicious occasion of Eid, has already earned around ₹ 73 crores and is racing towards joining the coveted club of ₹ 100 crores at the domestic box-office.

When Katrina Kaif was busy promoting Bharat, news surfaced that the gorgeous actress was approached to star in the first biopic of her career, based on the eventful life of renowned athlete PT Usha. In an interview with an English daily, when the actress was asked about the same, she confirmed being in talks for the said project. However, she chose not to discuss the film until she signs it on the dotted line. "I don’t want to discuss anything until I have signed it. I will do it if the story is right for me," said the actress.

Meanwhile, after the earth-shattering success of Bharat, Katrina Kaif will next be seen in Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi.  The cop-drama reunites the actress with Akshay Kumar after a long time. Both have previously delivered several successful films, including Welcome (2007), Namaste London (2007) and Singh Is King (2008).

Kaif seems quite psyched up about reteaming with the superstar. She told the daily that it is lovely to be working with Akshay Kumar again as it has been a few years now since they starred in a film together.

While Katrina Kaif has confirmed being in discussions with the makers of the PT Usha biopic, the actress denied being approached for the Satte Pe Satta (1982) remake, which filmmaker Farhan Khan is set to direct. When quizzed about the same, she said, "You guys will have to ask director, Farah Khan. I really do not know anything about any such development."
