KGF: Chapter 2 to face no delay due to Sanjay Dutt’s health

Ever since the news came out that Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt is suffering from lung cancer, his diehard fans are not only worried about his health but his forthcoming projects also. Dutt has several high-profile movies in his hand, which are currently at various stages of development.

One of his upcoming films includes the much-awaited multilingual gangster drama KGF: Chapter 2 with Kannada superstar Yash. The Munna Bhai M.B.B.S (2003) actor plays the antagonist in the sequel to superhit KGF: Chapter 1 (2018).


There has been a lot of speculation regarding the fate of KGF: Chapter 2, but if a source close to the team is to be believed, the film will not suffer due to the poor health of Sanjay Dutta. The source, who is very close to Yash, informed a senior journalist that there is no delay in the film’s completion because of Dutt’s health; the film is on schedule. Preparation for the next schedule is on full swing in Bengaluru. Other actors will start shooting from the first week of October and Yash will join in later. All shooting will be completed by the end of October.

When asked about the portions requiring Dutt, the source added, “Luckily, Dutt Saab completed most of his shooting. There is just one action sequence remaining. Yash and his director Prashant Neel will somehow manage that. Right now, Dutt Saab’s health is of utmost importance. Yash, Prashanth, and the entire KGF 2 team is concerned about his health. They are all praying for him.”

KGF: Chapter 2 is one of the most awaited films. Earlier scheduled to release in 2020 itself, the movie will now hit the big screen only when theatres resume operations in India. But one thing is certain that KGF 2 will not have a direct-to-digital release in any case.

In addition to Yash and Sanjay Dutt, KGF: Chapter 2 also features Raveena Tandon in an important role.

Northern Ireland approves extension of post-Brexit trade rules
