Krystle D’Souza roped in for Chehre?

The Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi starrer Chehre, which is being directed by writer-director Rumi Jaffery, has been hitting headlines on a regular basic ever since Kriti Kharbanda walked out of the film. According to reports, Kharbanda could not do the movie because of date issues. However, some media outlets reported that the actress was shown the door because of her tantrums.

After her exit from the big-ticket venture, several names cropped up as her replacement including that of Mouni Roy and Ankita Lokhande. But if latest reports are to be believed, popular television actress Krystle D’Souza has been locked for the part. Yes, you read it right! An entertainment portal reports that the actress underwent an audition for the role. The makers found her suitable for the character and signed her on.

After signing the film on the dotted line, Krystle D’Souza is expected to start shooting for her role soon. Reportedly, Mouni Roy was the first choice of the makers but she could not say yes to the film due to unavailability of dates. The makers wanted Roy to start shooting immediately which the actress could not afford as she was busy with her prior commitments.

Earlier, producer Anand Pandit had tweeted that the team and Kriti had parted ways amicably. He wrote, “In the light of recent media reports, we wish to clarify that Kriti Kharbanda and Anand Pandit Motion Pictures have mutually agreed to part ways on a cordial and professional note. We wish her success in all her future endeavours!”

Chehre is a courtroom drama, bringing Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi together for the first time ever. The movie features Senior Bachchan in the role of a lawyer, while Hashmi plays a rich business tycoon. Apart from Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi, the suspense thriller also stars Rhea Chakraborty, Siddhanth Kapoor, Dritman Chakroborthy, Raghubir Yadav and Annu Kapoor in important roles. Chehre will be hitting cinemas in April 2020.
