Kushal Tandon to romance Shiv Jyoti Rajput in web-series Bebaaki

It has been a great year for Ekta Kapoor’s OTT platform ALTBalaji as almost all of its shows have been received well by the viewers. After registering huge success with Broken 2 and Ragini MMS Returns 2, the leading digital platform is set to bring a number of exciting shows in 2020. One of its upcoming shows has been titled Bebaaki.

Popular television actor Kushal Tandon is playing the lead role in the series. Actor Karan Jotwani, who was last seen on the ZEE TV show Aapke Aa Jaane Se, has been cast to play Tandon’s brother. The latest we hear that model Shiv Jyoti Rajput has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Kushal Tandon. Bebaaki will mark her acting debut.

The upcoming web-show was initially titled United, but now it has been named Bebaaki. It is set against the backdrop of two Muslim families and will be made as a 50-episodes series. The show will be shot in the picturesque hills of Mussoorie. The shoot for the series began a couple of weeks ago.

Initially, it was reported that Bebaaki is a remake of Ekta Kapoor’s popular series Kahiin Toh Hoga that featured Aamna Sharif and Rajeev Khandelwal in central characters. However, sources reveal that it has nothing to do with that show and has a different story altogether.

We also hear that the makers were earlier in talks with Hebah Patel to play the female lead in the series. However, now Shiv Jyoti has been locked for the part. Aside from Kushal Tandon, Karan Jotwani and Shiv Jyoti Rajput, Bebaaki also features Suchitra Pillai, Mahir Pandhi, Pratik Sehajpal and Mrinalini Tyagi in important roles. More details are awaited.
